Sunanda Mane, Co-founder & President
Sunanda, co-founder and the force behind Lend-A-Hand India, has
been working in the development sector for more than a decade. She
has held positions as State Director, Program Director, and Consultant
in national and international organizations such as CARE, Society
for Service to Voluntary Agencies, Management Resources Inc., UNDP,
and the World Bank. Sunanda is also a member of the Executive Committee
of the New York-based Maharashtra Foundation and has traveled extensively
in India and South and Central Asia. She divides her time between
the New York and India offices.
Yeshodhara Bhalerao, Director Training & Development
Yeshodhara has over two decades of experience of working in
banking industry in India. Besides, she has worked as researcher,
consultant at YASHADA, apex state level training institution and
as visiting faculty at business schools. Her areas of specialization
are Banking, Financial Accounting, Marketing and Behavioral Science.
Yeshodhara is a passionate trainer. In her free time she is involved
with use of creative arts in primary education. Yeshodhara is MBA
in Marketing from Institute of Management Development and Research,
Pune and a Law graduate from University of Pune.
Kaustubh Devale, Consultant - Programs
Kaustubh, after acquiring his Master's in Economics from Gokhale
Institute of Economics and Politics, Pune has been working as a
development consultant and facilitator for over a decade in India.
Kaustubh has worked on diverse assignments involving monitoring
and evaluation, social audit, organization reviews, and emergency
relief for public and private sector organizations as well as for
international agencies such as World Bank, DFID, FAO, and ArbeiterWohlfhart,
Germany, across the eight states in India and in Nepal. Kaustubh
is also actively involved in campaigns for 'eliminate draught' and
'making democracy work'.
Prabhakar Patil, Program Officer
Prabhakar started his association
with the non-profit sector from his days as a student. He has over
fifteen years of experience working with youth development programs.
His area of training and expertise is communication, publishing
and publicity. He coordinates and monitors Project Swadheen, under
which aptitude testing and career counseling activities are conducted
in six villages. Approximately 600 high school students undergo
this program every year and Prabhakar has been coordinating this
project since its inception in 2005. Prabhakar is a qualified art
teacher with a diploma in Commercial Art and BA (sociology) from
Pune University.
Amruta Prakash, Research and Documentation
Amruta is a graduate of Political Science from Pune University,
India and a graduate in Development Studies from University of east
Anglia, UK. For the past five years Amruta has worked as Research
and Documentation officer for non-profit organizations working in
the area of rural development and gender. Amruta has also worked
as trainer, facilitator with great skills in acting, direction and
script writing. With a strong family background in non-profit sector,
Amruta wants to contribute to public sector development in India.
Gaurav Gaikwad Associate - Special Projects
Gaurav completed his bachelor's degree in Commerce from Pune
University and after working on short term assignments in event
management and marketing has joined Lend-A-Hand India. Gaurav assists
in implementing special initiatives such as Computers in schools,
Question Box, Eco-friendly Water Heater etc.
Javed Mujawar, Program Assistant (India)
Javed joined Lend-A-Hand India after working for over two years
in the private sector. He holds a bachelor's degree in humanities
and technology, logistics are his areas of liking. Javed is a link
between different LAHI portfolios.
Affiliates
Affiliates, as a decentralization policy, are developed as
extension centers to facilitate the spread of Lend-A-Hand India's
program and to support development of local expertise and local
participation. Besides financial support, the affiliates are supported
through ongoing mentoring, strategic advice, and manpower development.
Dr. Ankush Talekar
Founder President, Swadheen Social Welfare Association, Kem
(SSWAK)
Dr. Talekar, after practicing medicine for over two decades has
now decided to dedicate to establish Swadheen Social Welfare Association
at Kem, Near Solapur, India. Lend-A-Hand India is actively involved
in developing SSWAK as a Regional Resource and Demonstration Center
for promoting job and life skills program. The center is developed
on a hector of land and is equipped with four trainers and other
related facilities.
Tushar Ranjankar
Founder, Alfa Byte Computers,
Indapur
Tushar is a social entrepreneur from the beginning. For the past
fifteen years he has been conducting computer training with a difference.
He has also established a science laboratory which offers opportunity
to students from over twenty neighboring villages to visit and conduct
experiments in science as the schools lack laboratory facilities.
Lend-A-Hand India supports the 'earn and learn', aptitude and career
counseling, and awareness program aimed at pre-selection of schools
at Alfa Byte.
Executive Committee
Akshaya Gulhati
Akshaya has worked in energy consulting for over seven years both
in the US and abroad. He earned his MBA from the Kellogg School
of Management at Northwestern University.
Ani Khatri
Ani has a B.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering along with
a minor in Economics from Georgia Tech. He currently works with
Goldman Sachs in London. Previously, Ani worked for Deloitte Consulting
in New York, focusing on the financial services industry. In addition
to Lend-A-Hand India, Ani is also involved with Junior Achievement
and INROADS. He holds an MBA from Wharton.
Anuradha Gupta
Anu studied MMS at the Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences,
Pilani and earned her MBA (International Business) at IIFT, Delhi.
She worked with Unilever, India in Exports and Marketing, followed
by several stints in social infrastructure and market research.
Anu also taught briefly at SP Jain, a business school in India.
She writes extensively and has published two children's books.
Dina Deligiorgis
Dina has more than seven years of domestic and international experience
in the fields of development and human rights. She has worked as
a consultant with the United Nations Development Program, the World
Bank, and NGOs in Brazil and Ghana.
Raj Gilda, Co-founder
Raj, co-founder of Lend-A-Hand India, is an electronics engineer
and MBA graduate from the University of Texas at Austin. He started
his career with Deloitte Consulting and currently works with Citigroup
in New York. In India, Raj worked for National Stock Exchange as
well as Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services in Mumbai.
He was honored with the US President's Award in recognition of his
voluntary service for the last four years.
